THE gym was absolutely packed when I called in for my regular swim, with barely a locker to spare. The staff explained… it seems most gyms experience a big influx of new members as new year resolutions are made. Around six weeks later most of these newcomers are never seen again.

So, could you or any of your clients be described as a ‘six weeker’? Or are they truly determined to improve their health and fitness this year? There are lots of options if they don’t fancy the gym; join the local Park Run, sign up for a charity walk or search out that forgotten exercise video.

Whatever form of fitness activity you or your clients prefer, start gently to avoid problems and make it fun by setting achievable goals to keep going for much longer than six weeks! CPD training dates

TWO exciting training opportunities are planned for this year by Bowen Training UK. The first comes in June and follows a well-received two-day workshop last year by Georgi Ilchev, president of the Bowen Association of Bulgaria.

To meet demand, he is extending his visit to repeat Part I of his unique Bowen Body Decoding workshop, followed by Part II. Last year’s cohort can sign up for Part II while new students can decide on first or both parts.

In October, chairman Helen welcomes two colleagues from Australia, Margaret Spicer and Vianne MacBeth to present Mind Body Bowen. This two-day workshop explores Bowen on a deeper level, linking with mind-body healing and holistic health.
