IF YOU are planning a holiday and suffer from swollen feet and ankles after air travel then you may wish to consider packing a sachet of Bexters crystals into your case with our inflatable footbath.
While there are many reasons for such swelling from standing for long periods, to sporting injury and post-operative recovery, air travel is a common cause leaving you with ‘cankles’, where calf and ankle merge into one with no clear difference in size or shape. (A bit like those fabulous Beryl Cook paintings…!)
Being seated for long periods of inactivity can lead to blood pooling around the lower limbs hence the advice to walk up and down the cabin as often as you can and wear loose clothing especially around the waist. Some people are affected worse than others, while some have no adverse effects at all. Those who are overweight or already suffer from poor circulation are more likely to be severely affected like our friend Jan whose visit to Mexico was ruined as she was confined to her room for half the trip, unable to walk even in flip flops.
In extreme cases such as this, usually seen after a long-haul flight, the skin feels tight and hot, making walking painful if indeed, you can manage to get shoes on.
In contrast to similar bath salts, Bexters crystals are proven to draw out excess fluid and so reduce swelling and inflammation. Soaking the feet in Bexters, with enough warm water to completely cover the ankles, will reduce the swelling and relieve tired aching feet.
