With marathon season underway, we came across an intriguing study by Cardiff Metropolitan University suggesting that lying in a hot bath can improve fitness levels, especially in distance runners.

It's the latest in a long line of research that seems to show heat treatment can improve blood flow and oxygen levels, critical to maintaining fitness.
