EVERYONE here at Bowen Supplies HQ sends their best wishes to triathlete Emma Sowden as she travels to Bolton on Friday for Ironman UK, her first attempt at this challenging endurance event.

Emma has been using Bexters Soda Crystals as part of her post-training recovery, bathing in them as well as using a pair of applicator wraps alternately on knees and ankles to reduce puffiness.

“I feel totally prepared and not at all stressed,” she said. “As my training has tapered off, freeing up some time, I have adopted a slightly different approach to other events as this is my biggest challenge ever.” This includes eating a specific diet avoiding vegetables, less protein and more carbohydrates to ensure her body is in the right condition for the big day.

She has also had the luxury of being able to soak for longer periods in Bexters which leaves her skin feeling soft and smooth. “This was an unexpected benefit as usually I spend my time rushing around covered in sweat so it has been lovely to do something girlie for a change!”

Emma will be one of 2,500 competitors on Sunday (July 16th) and has her sights set on a finish time of around 15 hours. We send warmest wishes and will catch-up with you next week.
