The Challenge

Having been diagnosed with a double hernia Karen underwent a laparoscopy to repair the internal damage and support the affected organs. Post-surgery, pain levels were very high with severe bruising especially around the navel where nine incisions had been made. As the bruises faded, she was left with a seriously distended stomach that looked unsightly and limited her choice of what to wear as most of her clothes now did not fit.

The Solution

Karen sought advice from her Bowen therapist who recommended Bexters Soda Crystals with applicator wrap, to reduce swelling and relieve discomfort. The therapist’s husband had used the same treatment after a knee operation with positive results. Wraps come in different sizes for different parts of the body.

The Outcome

Karen applied the crystals every other night and soon saw a noticeable improvement. After two weeks of regular use her stomach was flatter than ever! Stretching, bending or exercise is best avoided until internal healing is complete to avoid return of swelling.
